Maiori is ready to welcome the Advent and Christmas season with a heartwarming program that celebrates faith, family, and community. From December 15, 2024, to January 19, 2025, the town’s churches and public spaces will host a series of events, inviting locals and visitors alike to partake in the joyous spirit of the season.

Full Program

Sunday, December 15 – Third Sunday of Advent

  • Holy Masses following the festive schedule.

Monday, December 16

  • 5:30 PM: Rosary and the beginning of the Christmas Novena at the Church of St. Dominic.

Saturday, December 21

  • 7:00 PM: Recital "NATALE È DI PIÙ?" in the Collegiate Church, performed by catechism children.

Sunday, December 22 – Fourth Sunday of Advent

  • 10:30 AM and 6:00 PM: Holy Masses in the Collegiate Church.

  • 8:30 AM: Blessing of Baby Jesus statuettes at St. Dominic, to be placed in nativity scenes at home.

Monday, December 23

  • 5:00 PM: Christmas celebration at the Senior Center.

  • 6:00 PM: Conclusion of the Christmas Novena at St. Dominic and Holy Mass with the participation of the 50-year-olds of 2024.

Tuesday, December 24 – Christmas Eve

  • 7:00 PM: Mass of the Nativity of Jesus.

Wednesday, December 25 – Christmas Day

  • Holy Masses: 10:30 AM and 6:00 PM in the Collegiate Church; 8:30 AM at St. Dominic; 12:00 PM at St. James.

Thursday, December 26 – Feast of St. Stephen

  • 6:00 PM: Holy Mass in the Collegiate Church.

Saturday, December 28 – "Family Day"

  • 6:00 PM: Holy Mass in the Collegiate Church, with renewal of vows for families celebrating milestone anniversaries (1st, 25th, 50th, 60th) this year.

Sunday, December 29

  • Holy Masses: 8:30 AM at St. Dominic; 10:30 AM in the Collegiate Church.

  • 6:00 PM: Opening Ceremony of the Jubilee Year in the Amalfi Cathedral.

Tuesday, December 31 – New Year’s Eve

  • 6:00 PM: Holy Mass in the Collegiate Church, followed by Adoration and the singing of the Te Deum in thanksgiving for the year.

January 2025 Program

Wednesday, January 1 – Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God

  • Holy Masses: 10:30 AM and 6:00 PM in the Collegiate Church; 8:30 AM at St. Dominic; 12:00 PM at St. James.

Sunday, January 5 – Sunday After Christmas

  • Holy Masses: 10:30 AM and 6:00 PM in the Collegiate Church; 8:30 AM at St. Dominic; 12:00 PM at St. James.

Monday, January 6 – Epiphany of the Lord

  • Holy Masses: 10:30 AM and 6:00 PM in the Collegiate Church; 8:30 AM at St. Dominic; 12:00 PM at St. James.

Sunday, January 12 – Baptism of the Lord

  • Holy Masses: 8:30 AM at St. Dominic; 10:30 AM in the Collegiate Church (with blessing of children baptized in the previous year); 12:00 PM at St. James; 6:00 PM in the Collegiate Church.

Sunday, January 19

  • Holy Masses: 8:30 AM at St. Dominic; 10:30 AM in the Collegiate Church; 12:00 PM at St. James; 6:00 PM in the Collegiate Church with the Reposition of the Baby Jesus.
